The publisher of Mark Meadows’s book, “The Chief’s Chief,” has filed a lawsuit against the former White House chief of staff, alleging that he violated their agreement by including false statements about former President Trump’s claims regarding the 2020 election. The publishing company, All Seasons Press, claims that Meadows breached his agreement by making false statements in the book, causing significant monetary and reputational damage. Meadows reportedly received immunity to testify before a grand jury, where he contradicted statements he made in his book. All Seasons Press is seeking $350,000 paid as an advance, $600,000 in out-of-pocket damages, and at least $1 million each for reputational damage and loss of expected profits. Meadows has not been charged in the federal government’s election interference case but is facing charges in a racketeering and election law case in Georgia.
